THE VISION AND MISSION OF SAFEHOUSE INT’L. MIN.

THE TRUTH: We all know the world isn’t safe any longer. Well, it has never really been safe. But never in our 6000+ years of man’s recorded history has the human kind lived in great dread and fear. Fear: Economic, social, academic, political and more importantly - Spiritual!
Not until the Hiroshima bombing and the recently 9/11 incident in America, Americans, nay the world never knew what it meant to feel unsafe even in the heart of arguably the world’s peace and safety watchdog - I Thess 5:3.
But worse, has been spiritual unsafety. Dr. M.R. Dettaan, a popular Bible teacher in the fifties and sixties, wrote:
“Never before in all history have there been such divisions in Christendom. There are today over 350 denominations, sects and cults in Protestantism in America alone. All of these claim that they are right and that all others are necessarily wrong… it has been said that a new cult springs up at least once in a month in the United States and that no matter how fantastic and fanciful its teaching may be, or how wild its claims, there are always those who are willing to be deceived.”

Think of what he would say today with all the occult and spiritualist activities that multiply each day all around the world. In the past few years, we have all heard the tragic stories of several extremists whose bizarre false teachings ended up costing the lives of hundreds of people: Jim Jones’ followers in Guyana, 1978; David Koresh and the Braneh Davidians in Texas; 1993; the Heaven’s Gate group in Southern Carlifonia, 1997. But destroying lives is only one form of end-time deception. What about destroying biblical faith? As tragic ad is the loss of life, it is worse to lose one’s soul. If Satan cannot get people to disbelieve or rebel against God altogether, he will get them hooked on some false doctrine to lead them astray. And everywhere we look today, we find deception growing stronger and more prevalent.

 THE VISION OF SAFEHOUSE.

 Safe house international sees a world - a people and generation that has the opportunity to receive the truth that is the message of the gospel of Christ without prejudice, barriers or selfish ambition. A transdenominational body of Christ that carries the burden of the truth to a world that is really in need of the truth but fast denying God.

The world is in need of the truth - Christendom is in dire need of the truth - to buy into the truth and never sell it.
Many Christians today feel unsafe about their faith; this is the primary reason why they move from one church to the other, from one denomination to the other, unsure of what to believe or do or don’t do.
It’s scary to feel uncertain about your faith. But everybody wonders at times. Can I really believe the bible? Am I truly saved? Is salvation for real? Doubt in scary. But in our ministry, we see Christians who have reason to feel safe and know they are “safe” in Christ and in the kingdom of heaven.
The mission of safehouse
The mission of safehouse Int., is to reach out to, preach to, teach and mentor men and women, youths especially - who can boldly claim that they are saved, born again - set at liberty to live lives of triumph and success in all (ramifications) facets of life in a world that celebrates sin in the guise of success.
It is the mission of safehouse Int., to raise a people and generation all over the world that are energized and empowered to claim genuine peace and safety in a chaotic world.
SIM is aimed a empowering a generation of  Christian youths who are strangers to failure and  mediocrity., but that can impart the world around them through “standard bearing” lifestyles for Christ and His kingdom.
SIM is aiming to reach, teach and develop people to see themselves as God sees them - “A peculiar people!”

  • Drama/ poetry presentations
  • Books and tapes ministry.

SIM is always explaining new avenues to reaching Christian youths and non- Christian youths alike.

THE GOALS OF SAFEHOUSE
The goals of SIM are achievable. And to underscore this, at least two books: “Visions upon Pillows pf Stone” and “Sell me Your Birthright have been published in the recent past to reach and empower youths. And many more are in the works.

However, it is the primary goal of this ministry to reach to the entire world with this message of “safety in Faith” in Christ through  seminars, workshops, crusades. Retreats and free literature in 2006.
it is SIM’s goal to reach at least a million youths in the next 24 months.
lead at least a quarter number to be committed and dedicated children to the kingdom of Christ.
Empower at least, 1000 gifted and talented youths in “start - off, small scale businesses”.
Take the vision of SIM to the West, East and South of the Continent of Africa, as well as to America and mainland Europe in 2006.

THE TOOL

Pastor Hastings is a youth who has come to know what it means to be able to buy the truth and not to sell it. He is a gifted author/ writer, preacher and teacher and inspirational teacher of the word with a focus commitment to the household of God - with a yearning heart for the youth. Pastor Eghe Hastings is the tool that God has commissioned in these latter days of oppressive darkness of the world to hold the lamp of the truth that is the gospel of Christ.
He resides in Lagos - Nigeria, where he has his ministry’s headquarters,  preaching, teaching and authoring life transforming works for the kingdom.
